New rules governing the behaviour of lawyers, with an emphasis on tackling bullying and harassment, came into force on 1 July. It was really important that lawyers understood what these new changes would mean for them.
The brief was to create a short animated video, under 90 seconds, that would explain the changes and what lawyers would need to do to comply. It was intended to be used on the website and on LinkedIn.
As the main usage would be on social media I decided to keep all the information on the video instead of using a voice over. That way if the video was viewed without sound the intended message would still be clear.
Process
Received script developed by communications advisor
Storyboard drafted and approved
Collaborated with external illustrator for 3 ‘people’ assets
Illustrated additional assets and edited all illustrations ready for animating
Rigged and animated two scenes for review of style and flow
Continued rigging and animated the remaining scenes after approval
Finalise flow and add sound effects
Final sign off and approval
