Bullet Journal Organisation: Trackers
I’m back again with the third instalment to my Bullet Journal mini-series! In case you missed the previous two you can catch up here about my monthly spreads, and here about my weekly spreads, but a quick summary is I love my bullet journal and I love planning but I’m just not that great at implementing that planning.
Trackers are something I’ve used the entire time I’ve been bullet journalling. They’re the thing that actually made me want to start a bullet journal in the first place, along with the fact that I was just wasting my yearly diary as I didn’t use each daily page.
What I’ve tracked over the years has mostly changed but I’ve really gotten into my stride of what I want to track and what’s pointless to track. Excuse the lack of photos for this part of the mini-series but some of the things I’ve been tracking are a little personal to share, and what’s the point in blurring out half the page. If you want design inspiration for these types of trackers there are heaps on Pinterest and Instagram!
Goodreads goal
One thing I’ve tracked for a fair few years has been the books I’ve read that year. I do use Goodreads to track my reading but I really enjoy doing a decorative page to show all the books I’ve read that year. I find it’s actually easier to look back on all the books in one spread instead of a giant list on Goodreads. The design of the page changes each year, and this year isn’t actually my favourite but it’ll do until next year!
Daily mood tracker
I started the ‘year in pixels’ in 2018 and really enjoyed it so I continued in 2019 and again this year. I don’t always remember to note down each day my mood but I remember the vague mood I felt a few days later. I just love how it looks at the end of the year, and it’s fun looking at all the ‘excited/very happy’ days and trying to figure out what happened during those days. Last year one of my super happy series of days was my holiday to Rarotonga when I got engaged, super fun to look back on!
Books and movies to watch
I’m always forgetting the books, movies, and TV shows I want to read and watch so this year I started a tracker of all the things I want to read and watch. So far I haven’t really knocked off a lot of the list but they’re there… waiting for me to get around to them.
Social media tracker
Last year I tracked all of my social media accounts but I felt like it was pointless tracking the ones I wasn’t really focussing on building, so this year I stuck to my Sofillyletters accounts and my newsletter audience. Sometimes it doesn’t feel like the numbers are going up but tracking it each month helps to see they actually are and the work I’m putting into it is worth it!
Things I achieved this year
I started this last year and it was so good to look back on, tracking both the small and large achievements. This year I’ve kind of forgotten to fill it in although part of the year so far we’ve been stuck at home so it’s been hard to achieve things. I’m excited to get back into it because it truly is great to look back on.
The only other thing I track is my spending, and budget plans, but they aren’t as exciting and definitely aren’t for everyone. If you have a bullet journal do you track things? I used to do little monthly trackers to track my habits but I always forgot to fill them in however I know a lot of bujo fans love them.
